Matrox MXO2 Rack MAX gives you a full range of professional audio and video inputs and outputs, genlock with pass-through, and RS-422 machine control – right on the box. Direct 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound monitoring are supported on the XLR outputs. Both 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound monitoring are also supported on the HDMI output. No additional breakout cable is required.

For maximum versatility, it connects to your computer via a PCI Express adapter card, an ExpressCard/34 adapter, or a Thunderbolt adapter.



Closed captioning

Matrox SDI I/O products provide acquisition, monitoring, and delivery of closed captions with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Avid Media Composer on the Mac. In addition, They can also let you use standard (non-closed captioning enabled) monitors to preview HD timelines with closed captioning data by overlaying decoded closed captioning text over the previewed video. This is the ideal cost-effective way to see your closed captions, even when you’re using an inexpensive HDMI display as your program monitor with Adobe Premiere Pro.

Stream from any camera, anywhere

Native support for Telestream Wirecast for Windows includes the easy-to-use Matrox ISO recording feature. Your Matrox product not only sends a video feed to Wirecast for streaming, it simultaneously creates a high-quality ISO recording of the original video and audio feed on disk—ready for post-event editing. You can record using a variety of codecs including the high-quality Matrox MPEG 2 I-Frame codec, DV, DVCPRO, DVCPRO50 and DVCPRO HD. Matrox ISO recording also supports direct capture to H.264 on Matrox I/O products with MAX. Multiple Matrox I/O products can be used to provide multi-channel capture for streaming and ISO recording. Support for Telestream Wirecast for Mac OS is provided via QuickTime. Matrox I/O products are also ideal for—Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder, Livestream, Microsoft Expression, or QuickTime Broadcaster. Connect to any HD or SD video source via SDI, HDMI or analog.
